- Internships longer than 90 days require an Unpaid Volunteer or Internship Visa.
- All applicants must have a passport valid for at least 6 more months from the date of entry.

- Travel Visa: Submit an application form, passport photocopies, two passport photos, a criminal record from the last 6 months, return flight ticket, and proof of financial sufficiency.
- Unpaid Volunteer or Internship Visa: Similar application requirements but tailored for longer stays. Must enter Costa Rica within 60 days after visa issuance.
