General Eligibility Requirements
- Nationals of Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Sweden, and the United Kingdom are eligible for the Hong Kong Working Holiday Scheme.
- Applicants must hold a valid passport issued by one of the participating countries and normally reside in that country.
- Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old.
- Applicants must show that they have sufficient funds to support themselves during their stay in Hong Kong (for example, through a bank statement or savings account passbook).
- Applicants must either hold a return air ticket or provide financial proof that they can purchase one.
- Applicants must agree to maintain medical, healthcare (including hospitalization), repatriation, and liability insurance for the entire duration of their stay in Hong Kong.
