Close Proximity to the Workplace (within 1 hour or less)

Housing is selected with commute time in mind, helping you keep daily travel to your host company within about one hour or less by bus, metro, or motorbike taxi. This supports a manageable routine and gives you more time to explore the city and enjoy your life outside the internship.

Accessible by Public Transport

Accommodation is located near key public transport routes, making daily commuting straightforward. Interns can reach their host companies easily and use local buses, metro lines (where available), and ride-hailing services to discover different districts in cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, or Da Nang during their free time.

General Eligibility Requirements

  • Age: Applicants must normally be between 18 and 25 years old when applying for Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme.
  • Student Status: You must be a current undergraduate or recent graduate from a recognised university in one of the eligible countries listed below.



Work and Holiday Visa Program

  • Eligible Countries: Currently open to citizens or permanent residents of Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States who meet MOM’s university requirements.
  • Education: Your university must be recognised by the government of your home country and meet Singapore MOM’s list of accepted institutions.
  • Undergraduates: Must have been a resident and full-time student at the same university for at least 3 months before applying.
  • Graduates: Must have been a resident and full-time student of an eligible university prior to graduation, in line with MOM rules for the Work Holiday Programme.

Training Employment Pass

  • Eligibility for Students: Training must be an official, required part of your degree or professional programme.
  • Institution: You need to be enrolled at, or recently graduated from, a recognised higher-education institution.
  • Salary Requirement: The host company must pay a fixed monthly salary of at least SGD 3,000, which is the current MOM threshold for the Training Employment Pass.
  • Company Sponsorship: You must be sponsored by a well-established Singapore-registered company that applies for the pass on your behalf.

Visa Application Process

  • Capacity: Singapore’s Work Holiday Programme is capped at a limited number of passes (currently 2,000 participants at any one time), so places are competitive and can fill quickly.
  • For Trainees: For internships that fall under the Training Employment Pass, the company submits the online application to MOM, confirming the SGD 3,000 minimum salary and structured training plan.
  • Application Timing: Applications are made online via MOM’s e-services portal; Atlas Internships can guide you on which pass fits your case and what documents you need, but final approval is always at MOM’s discretion.
